Due to a few missed days, this is an additional portion of my Day 21.
I therefore created two distinct compositions for today.
A lone ghost sits by the water's edge, gazing out at the horizon. The moon hangs heavy in the sky, its reflection shimmering on the water's surface. As the scene unfolds, night gradually gives way to day, and the moon yields to the rising sun. The ghost itself is rendered in shades of gray, blending seamlessly with the twilight atmosphere.
The Dance of Day and Night:
In the animated GIF, the scene transitions between day and night at an accelerated pace. The sun rises and sets, casting different colors on the water and the ghost. As the sun rises above the horizon, the ghost fades away, only to reappear when the moon takes its place in the sky.
Technical Challenges and Pixelated Possibilities:
While I'm happy with the overall mood of the piece, the timelapse effect is a bit faster than I'd like. It's a reminder that even simple animations can present technical challenges. But hey, that's part of the fun of experimenting with pixel art!
More to Come:
This is just another step in exploring the potential of timelapses in pixel art. In the future, I'd love to create more nuanced transitions, perhaps with shifting clouds, subtle changes in the water's movement, and even more intricate animations for the ghost. The possibilities are endless!
Let me know what you think of this ghostly experiment in the comments below! Are there any other pixel art timelapses you'd like to see?
