A Much Needed Break

Hey Internet Folks!

I took a break for some days after my challenge so that I could take care of things I have been somewhat neglecting and figured it was time to do another piece.

This one took a couple hours, as I have been learning to better use the spray brush tool in Aseprite and varying degrees of alpha in colors.

I find myself enjoying nature scenes increasingly as I create them—they just feel right. So I'll definitely be doing other themes as well, but you might start seeing mostly outdoor or nature scenes a lot more than you already have from my posts haha.

I never really feel like I'm finished with a piece of art. It always bugs me that this could be changed, or that removed or whatever else that could be done. It's been a hard balance to maintain in all of the forms of art I envelop myself in and with pixel art, it's been no different.

I decided to put the pen down on this one so that I don't get too carried away. I feel that it evokes a sense of peace in me, looking at it. I see all the things I'd love to add and fix, but when I take a step back.. it's nice to see how much my art has changed in the time I have been placing pixels.

I could ramble all day but I'll leave you with this piece and say that I hope your week is going as well as you'd like it to be. Enjoy!
